With olive oil, garbanzo beans and tahini (creamy sesame paste) this is a delicious snack that comes with health benefits!
Ingredients
Hummus
- 2 15oz cans drained garbanzo beans, plus 2 tablespoons of aquafaba (the liquid from garbanzo beans)
- 3 T extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 c tahini
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 small lemons juiced
- 2 t cumin
- 2 t smoked paprika
- 1 t salt
- 6 small ice cubes
Optional ingredients
- 1/2 bunch cilantro, add to food processor
- 1 roasted red pepper, add to food processor

Method
In the food processor
- 1)
Put everything in the food processor except the aquafaba. As your ingredients are coming together starting to resemble hummus slowly add the aquafaba into the mixture through the top of your food processor.
- 2)
You can play around with the consistency by adding more ice cubes or olive oil. It is a pretty forgiving recipe, just start by adding a little bit at a time to your food processor.
- 3)
After you reach your desired consistency place in a bowl and sprinkle a little more smoked paprika across the top and drizzle a little more olive oil on top.
Notes
You can get pretty creative with hummus, try adding jalapenos or smoked chili powder if you like a little spice!
